VEX III, Historical Entities includes selected historical flags from Afghanistan, Cambodia, Columbia, Confederate States of America, Congo, Egypt, France, Germany, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, United States & many other countries. There are three flags each from the countries mentioned above, but also complete subsets of all the flags from the 9 South African Subdivisions , the 10 nations in the Federation of Southern Arabia and all 15 former Soviet Socialist Republics. There are also colorful historical flags from China, Italy, Spain, Portugal and many other countries.

The games included in VEX III are basic VEX, Checkered Flag, Rally Round the Flag; and Flag Football, See VEX II for details of these first three games. VEX III also includes Flag Fibonacci, a math skills game that takes advantage of the fact that almost every flag ratio is in the form of two Fibonacci numbers (i.e. 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55 where each number is the sum of the preceding two.) and Flag Family, a game that seeks to establish familial relationships between the flags.
